In late Shang Dynasty from three thousand years ago, a fatuous King Zhou who was bewitched by monstrous tails of Daji (Fan Bingbing), associated with an evil person, Shen Gongbao try to use black power to summon the black dragon, which led to a world full of monsters making humans live on the edge of starvation. To deter King zhou’s villainy, Jiang Ziya ordered Lei Zhengzi, Ne Zha and Yang Jian to find a sword of light for vanquishing the demons and bogies. They helped Zhou King Wu of Zhou who was the first king of the Zhou dynasty of ancient China, to attack Chao Ge, the ancient capital of Shang Dynasty, by leading a strong warriors from Xi Qi. But, Da Ji cast a spell on Jiang Ziya at the time when the great war was imminent with the releasing of black dragon, and the whole world was in danger.
