“HIDDEN MAN” is the sixth film directed by Jiang himself and adapted from a Chinese famous novel Xia Yin (“The Reclusive Hero”) , and set in “Dark Time” of old Beiping city, a former name of Beijing city in 1937’s China, following the outbreak of “The July 7th Incident”. The plot revolves around a Chinese spy, Li Tianran who returned home from the United States with hatred to take revenge on plenty of intrigues during the hard times of China. There are 1200 VFX shots in the film “HIDDEN MAN” and 443 of them were made by VHQ VFX team. The mainly shots include the environments and scenes ,such as the Drum and Bell Towers, Ritan Altar, the buildings and streets ,alleyway and the city .Also VHQ VFX responsible for making the film of fireworks, explosion, blood and other special effects shots.
