Once Upon a Time is jointly produced by Alibaba Pictures and RUIYI Films and co-directed by Zhao Xiaoding and Anthony LaMolinara. It’s an ancient Chinese romantic fantasy film or Xianxia film starring Liu Yifei and Yang Yang with other casts of Luo Jin, Yan Yikuan, Li Chun, Gu Xuan and Meng Zisu and more. It is based on the full-length novel of Three Lives Three Worlds, Ten Miles Peach Blossoms, telling a story about the emotional entanglements between Bai Qian (Liu Yifei), a princess of Qing Qiu and Ye Hua (Yang Yang), a crown prince of the Nine Heavens in three lives and three worlds.
